The ideal candidate will be responsible for building a robust agile and technologically driven rental business model with a solid market presence to rapidly scale up in the short term. The candidate should have experience in a management role in the extraction and mining industry, coupled with experience in the rental sector across borders in West Africa. The candidate should have a strong entrepreneurial spirit, a deep understanding of the extraction and mining industries, and the ability to drive business growth through strategic deal-making and relationship building.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Must possess proven track record for business creation with the capacity to identify business opportunities and model a strategy to harness them and rapidly scale up.
- Must possess proven capacity to build a robust pipeline of opportunities and consistently meet or exceed revenue targets.
- Must possess a strong network of business contact in diverse industries, and in local and international public institutions.
- Must have a proven track record to target potential businesses and tailor proposals for deal negotiation and closure, with a high conversion rate for business opportunities.
- Must have the capacity to conduct market research to assess competitor activities and develop strategies to differentiate our offerings.
- Must possess the ability to provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members in business development and relationship management.
- Must have the capacity to collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, operations, and finance, to ensure seamless technologically driven execution of business development strategies.
- Must stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and technological advancements, providing strategic insights to shape the company's direction.
- Must be knowledgeable in current technologies that drive business process development.
- Must possess strong technical and professional skills.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Master’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- Proven track record of building and scaling business operations, ideally within a startup environment.
- In-depth knowledge of the extraction and mining industries, coupled with experience in the rental sector.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and networking skills.
- Technological mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Fluent in both written and spoken English. Proficiency in French language is a plus.
